I AM
TALITA.
Born and raised in São Paulo-Brazil, I graduated in Architecture and Urbanism at the University of São Paulo and later relocated to the United States where I currently live and work. Equipped with a broad design education ranging from graphics to objects and spaces; throughout the past 10 years I have focused on the architecture and interior design of educational and civic spaces. Having also worked in landscape architecture and custom site furnishings, my experience has allowed me to explore several areas and scales of design and to consistently stretch my design skills while navigating among them. The process of design thinking is a common language between all design fields and is the tool with which I approach new challenges and opportunities as I search to expand my portfolio to different design fronts.

My current role revolves around leading projects and managing teams from the design standpoint. My main responsibilities range from developing early design concepts to supervising design documentation progress, providing design support for agency permit approvals and oversight of design during construction.
2015-2016

Designer II
As a Designer II I participated in the design documentation of medium-to-large scale pre-K-12 projects, including whole site master plans and building additions. At an entry level position, I was trusted to lead the design efforts of multi-phased whole site modernization project, which included full design and agency approval of a 15,000 SF classroom building plus site improvements.

Ehm Architecture
Designer
I collaborated with Randal Ehm developing architectural plans and details for single-family houses and civic projects, such as a shipping container house, two residence remodels and renovations for the B Street Pier Cruise Ship Terminal. I also developed 3D Models + Renderings for the firm website and portfolio.

Reinaldo Pestana Architecture
Architect
Contributed to the development and coordination of civic, commercial and residential architectural projects of several scales. Attended to meetings with developers on a weekly basis and dealt with all design phases and disciplines.

Raul Pereira Landscape Architects
Landscape Designer
Assisted with all phases of a landscape architectural project, from schematics to construction. Participated in projects of several scales, from neighborhood master plans to public squares and single-family residences.
Design Leader
As a Design Leader I participated in the design front of competitions alongside Design Principals and Project Managers across HMC offices. From 2017-2019, I was in charge of the design coordination during design and construction phases of our firm's first Net Zero project which has won many awards including AIA, DBIA and SD-GBC.
